Mindfulness in Nature: Seasons

Summer invites fall and then onto winter before the awakening of spring. Nature’s season are reminders of the paradox of constancy and change. Nothing stays beyond its welcome or arrives prematurely. No efforting or impatience to hurry one season off or rush the next season in. But everything appearing in its own time. Like a well rehearsed cast, making its appearance on the stage of the universe seamlessly and without prompts. The four seasons challenges notions of a static and monocular existence. It sweeps us up and into the flow of a dynamic process. It gives us multiple lenses through which to look at life. No warmth without cold. No green without brown. No life without death. No beginning without end.
